Vedic Chanting for Beginners
January 4 - February 15 2026
Live Online
Learn the ancient tradition of Vedic chanting for inner peace and spiritual growth.
Vedic chanting is the practice of reciting mantras from the oldest spiritual texts in the world. These mantras have been preserved by a rigorous oral tradition transmitting the knowledge from teacher to student for thousands of years.
Vedic Chanting for Beginners is a live online 6-week course that gives a solid foundation, not only to chanting, but to the cultural context of the mantras that many Westerners may not be familiar with.
The week before each class, you'll receive a new module that includes:
- practice recordings for the mantra(s) we'll be working on
- text and translation
- symbology of the deity related to the mantra
Class will meet once a week at 11am EST on Sundays from 1/4/26 - 2/15/26
Each class will include:
-
Practicing sounds of the Sanskrit alphabet
- Exploring a new foundational principle of Vedic Chanting
-
Breakdown of mantra to be used, with pronunciation and translation
-
Mythology or context of the mantra
- Group practice
Do I need prior knowledge of Sanskrit?
Will I still have access to the course after the live classes are finished?
Can I use these chants in my daily life?
If I'm a yoga teacher can I receive CEU's for this course?

"These practices are like the secret/hidden codes to override corrupt programs [in the mind]. Once you realize that you can access the code and re-write your own programs, you become the creator of your own reality."

I was not expecting to learn so much and thought at first that it was going to be too hard, but Sri Devi made learning easy and enjoyable. I loved learning to chant Vedic mantras and now know more about Sanskrit as well. Excellent course and excellent teacher. I’m very grateful to have taken this class.
